Ian Weborg

Ian Weborg has been involved in the marching arts since 2007. He resides in Tampa, FL where he instructs, consults and designs for ensembles year round. This is his third season of involvement with Horizon Winds. He is extremely excited to step into the role of Music Caption Head in 2019.

Ian is an alumnus of both Spirit of Atlanta and Teal Sound. He formerly spent two seasons on the brass staff at Heat Wave, as a Trumpet Technician in 2015 and as the Brass Co-Caption Head in 2016. The opportunity to assist in building the culture at a brand new DCI drum & bugle corps was an invaluable experience for him. In 2018 he worked on the visual staff at Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps. During the fall and winter pageantry seasons, Ian maintains a busy visual design schedule that includes drill writing, staging and choreography services. Outside of his design endeavors, he holds the privilege of serving on the instructional staff with the Seminole High School Warhawk Marching Band; the 2017 USbands Southern States Grand Champion and FMBC 4A bronze medalist. In addition, he has provided instructional and/or design services for Palm Harbor University High School, Sarasota High School, Northeast High School, Largo High School, Rockledge High School, Countryside High School and Ancient City Ensemble.

Ian received his Associate of Arts degree from St. Petersburg College. He is currently pursuing bachelor’s degrees at two separate institutions simultaneously; Social Science Education at the University of South Florida and Educational Studies & Community Leadership at St. Petersburg College.
